Answer:
There are a number of important differences between SwingerPro and SwingerPlus. SwingerPlus is bascially a more advanced version of SwingerPro that builds on its range of core features. Key differences include Lesson Mode, Commentary Mode, Dual Camera Capture, Strobe Imaging and the Database. For more information about the differences, please consult the
SwingerPro and SwingerPlus pages of this website.

Question:
What equipment do I need to run Swinger?

Answer:
Swinger products require a suitable PC and support direct capture from Mini DV cameras via the firewire interface. For capturing video from a Mini DV camera, a firewire port is required on the computer. For more information about hardware requirements please visit our
Technical Information page.

Question:
What accessories can I use with Swinger?

Question:
When playing my recorded motion on the screen, there is no sound and when trying to use the picture-by-picture function the program jams?

Answer:
When you have saved a motion by pushing the record button and then the stop button an automatic window  called ”Select Trim Parameters” opens.

To keep full digital quality you are required to check the ”Retain DV format” box. You will also notice that the recording process speeds up.

Question:
Can I use the new DVD and Hard Disc Cameras?

Answer:
DVD and Hard Disc cameras are relatively new on the market and use a heavily compressed form of video (MPEG4). Because of the nature of MPEG4, video from these cameras can be used in Swinger but must first be converted into AVI files to allow proper and accurate frame-by-frame and graphics control. As the video is significantly more compressed than DV from a mini DV camera, it should be noted that early models of these cameras are not as well suited to video analysis environments.

Some HD cameras have the dual hard drive and DV function. When using the DV format, it will work with Swinger. Webbsoft Scandinavia recommends the SONY HDR-HC5E. Webbsoft is currently developing a new Swinger version that will be available in 2009.

Question:
Should I use a desktop or notebook computer?

Answer:
Swinger will work on both laptops and desktops so the purchase decision should be based on your budget and the required performance. If you travel a lot or wish to use Swinger in the field or on court, then a notebook may best suit your needs. However, if you only use your computer from your office or home a desktop might be better. For information on Swinger's technical requirements for computers, click here.

Question:
I have recently bought and installed my Swinger program. When trying to open it, I get a message saying it is ”unlicenced” and asking for the activation code?
(One of the following windows might open)

Answer:
The code you have received is not an activating code, it is the code for the smart card.
This code should have been entered during the installation but that has not been possible due the following:

- You have either installed the program before you have installed the drivers for the smart card.

- Or you have not placed the smart card in the computer after running the drivers and before running the installation of the program.

Do the following:
1. Install the drivers for the smart card that you will find on the installation CD under smart card readers.
Your smart card is called GEMS PC Key.

2. Once you have installed these, place the smart card in the computer and install the Swinger program.

3. In step 3 of the installation you will be required to enter the 32-digit code from your Webbsoft Scandinavia purchase.

4. Enter the code and the program is active for all future. There is no need to keep the code, it is securely saved on your smart card.

Question:
My Swinger program has been working just fine but recently I have been experiencing some problems and various error messages appear?

Answer:
Have you installed any new software on your computer?
Problems may appear when downloading and installing:

Burn programs
DVD player programs
Other media players than Windows Media Player
Games

These programs may use another format of video codex but have kept the same name as the Swingers video codex. There will then be conflicts and Swinger will not run properly.

Solution to the problem:
De-install the program again and see if that helps, if not: Please contact us!
All programs will not conflict with Swinger but they may sometimes.
